Ohio Declares 2022 Winter Hike Challenge
It appears one state is providing a little extra motivation for natives to get outside and get active. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is challenging hikers to hit the trails this winter.
To compete, hikers will have to download an app called ‘Ohio Trails - DETOUR’ and then hike in at least 3 out of the 5 Ohio regions between January 1st and March 1st.
The first 500 hikers to complete the challenge will receive a free limited-edition Ohio State Parks Winter Hiker sticker.
A map of the 5 regions can be found on the Ohio Department of Natural Resources website. This is where you can also log your hikes and apply for the sticker!
